Gary Rosensteel
Gary Rosensteel has been an active entrepreneur for almost twenty years. Prior to that, he worked in Fortune 100 settings as a senior executive in the IT field. During this time Gary was involved in all aspects of IT operations, although his primary area was creation of large scale software applications handling critical business operations.
Gary was a key executive with TechRx, which was acquired in 2003 by NDCHealth, producing over a 550% return within four years for the Series A investors. He also participated in several other startups (founding role in three of these), in which he was heavily involved with executive management, product development and sales & marketing.
For four years Gary served as President of Cymbol Group, Ltd., a company providing comprehensive IT outsourcing services to small businesses. He then spent the next five years as a principal contributor to the success of TechRx where he was in charge of architecting, building and supporting the high-volume pharmacy application that made TechRx the 'Microsoft' of the pharmacy software industry.
Following this, Gary participated in the creation of a new B2B web-based business, Pelleon, which supported reverse auction bidding on major construction projects. He worked directly with the founder helping to transform his vision into a complete business plan, and then architected and built the processing and web site supporting the business.
Next, Gary assisted an IT consulting company in entering a new line of business - web site hosting. He managed the design, provisioning, build out and testing of their fully fault tolerant web hosting center. For four years he served as a principal and Chief Operating Officer for Vevolution, a startup company engaged in eMarketing activities. Before leaving this position, Gary founded DigiBrix, which created a software tool to manage all the business operational aspects of running IT departments.
He has held various executive management positions with start-up, mid-market and Fortune 100 companies. In addition to his broad entrepreneurial expertise, Gary has years of experience in all Information Technology disciplines across a wide range of industries, computing platforms and software applications, and worked for 11 years in Los Angeles adopting leading-edge technologies for the aerospace and entertainment industries.
Gary has a BS in Political Science from Valparaiso University, and has taken courses at CMU's Tepper School of Business. He has also delivered presentations at international industry conferences and had numerous business and general interest articles published in national, regional and local publications.
Gary also founded and currently heads up Help Startups. An organization dedicated to assisting entrepreneurs on an individual and collective basis. Working through Help Startups, Gary was responsible for launching HelpStartups.com, the most comprehensive entrepreneurial support web portal in the country.
